TetraSki™

The Tétraski is designed for individuals who wish to ski independently but have a disability that significantly affects their physical strength.
The frame is the same as that for the Snow’kart, but the difference is how the skis are controlled:

  • via a joystick, similar to an electric wheelchair

  • using a sip-and-puff system that allows turning by inhaling or exhaling

The person is secured in the device with straps, and an adaptive headrest can be added if needed.
During use, an able-bodied skier is connected to the device by a rope called a “lifeline.” The pilot also has a remote control to take back control of the machine if necessary.

TétraSki trainings

If you want to accompany a sit-skier using a TétraSki, you must complete a training session. It is organized over a period of one day. Discover more by visiting our trainings page.
